New Delhi, Dec 21 (IANS) Expressing anger over the gang-rape of a 23-year-old physiotherapy student in the national capital, hundreds of people Friday took out a candle-light march outside 10 Janpath, the official residence of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, shouting slogans and demanding justice for the victim.

New Delhi, Dec 21 — Expressing anger over the gang-rape of a 23-year-old physiotherapy student in the national capital, hundreds of people Friday took out a candle-light march outside 10 Janpath, the official residence of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, shouting slogans and demanding justice for the victim.

The protesters, including women and students, took out the march around 7.30 p.m. They were stopped by police a few metres short of Gandhi's residence.

"The march was peaceful. Police personnel were already present at 10 Janpath with barricades to stop the people," said a police officer.
