Chennai, Dec 22 — DMK president M.Karunanidhi Saturday said his party would hold protests in Tuticorin Wednesday to condemn the murder of a 12-year-old school girl in the Tamil Nadu district.

In a statement issued here, Karunanidhi said the murder of a school girl after a rape bid on her shows the worsening law and order situation in the state and the AIADMK government should take responsibility for this.

He said the party would hold protest Wednesday outside the Tuticorin collector's office.

The girl was murdered Thursday after a rape bid.

Police Saturday arrested 36-year-old C.Subbiah in this connection.
