New Delhi, Jan 8 — The government has decided to appoint S.K. Sarkar, additional secretary in the department of personnel and training, as the new secretary in the water resources ministry.

According to an official release Tuesday, Sarkar will replace Dhruv Vijai Singh who retires Jan 31.
