New Delhi, Jan 15 (IANS) The central government Tuesday said that the Suspension of Operations Agreement with the National Democratic Front of Bodoland-Progressive (NDFB-P) had been extended till June this year.

New Delhi, Jan 15 — The central government Tuesday said that the Suspension of Operations Agreement with the National Democratic Front of Bodoland-Progressive (NDFB-P) had been extended till June this year.

"It has been decided and mutually agreed to extend the Suspension of Operations (SoO) Agreement with the National Democratic Front of Bodoland-Progressive Group up to 30.06.2013," a home ministry release said.

It said that tripartite talks on the demands of NDFB-P were continuing.

The NDFB has been active in lower Assam, particularly in Bodo-dominated areas since October 1986. It demands sovereignty of Bodo area in Assam.
