Cairo, Feb 13 — At least 10 people were killed when a truck collided with three cars on a desert road leading to Egypt's Alexandria city, Xinhua reported.

The accident led to closing of the road for hours before traffic authorities managed to restore traffic flow, official news agency MENA said.

Alexandria is around 220 km from the capital Cairo.

Transportation Minister Hatem Abdel-Latif recently said road accidents in Egypt kill around 10,000 every year.

The lack of highway security monitoring system, poor road maintenance and negligence of traffic rules are behind the high rate of road accidents in the country.

What Bible says about illegal immigration

Oct 28 2014 6:30pm CDT | Source: WND

“Thou shall neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.” – Exodus 22:21 For some, including Rev. Robert H. Stewart, pastor of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, that verse in Exodus tells us pretty much all we need to know about national borders, immigration policy and the controversy over Barack Obama’s threat to use executive orders to provide 30 million green cards to illegal aliens living in t ...

Moody's changes Egypt's outlook to stable from negative

Oct 20 2014 9:55am CDT | Source: TradeArabia

Moody's Investors Service has today (October 20) changed Egypt's outlook to stable from negative and affirmed its Caa1 government bond rating. Key drivers for the outlook change to stable from negative are the stabilised political and security situation, the launch of government initiatives toward fiscal consolidation, signs of a growth recovery and an improvement in macroeconomic stability and strong support from external donors. However, Egypt's Caa1 governm ...

Today's fearful Communists

Oct 7 2014 6:55pm CDT | Source: WND

If you want to be ignored as a columnist but still maintain a halo of self-righteousness, then write passionately about the story that gets 10 seconds or nothing on the news but should have been right up there with ISIS and Ebola. I’m surprised they haven’t already locked up demented columnists for grabbing and shaking strangers on the street and yelling, “You should have been interested in what I just wrote!” Freedom-lovers have had a bad season worldwide that showed no sign of ending ...
