Tehran, Feb 13 (IANS) Iran Wednesday hanged a murderer in public in capital Tehran, a media report said.

Tehran, Feb 13 — Iran Wednesday hanged a murderer in public in capital Tehran, a media report said.

The executed man, who was also referred to as the "hunter of girls", had killed two girls and wounded nine with a knife after robbing them, reported Xinhua.

Crimes including drug trafficking, murder, adultery, rape and armed robbery are subject to death penalty in Iran.
