Islamabad, Feb 18 — Pakistan and Palestine have agreed to form a joint commission comprising their foreign ministers to expand their existing political cooperation into other areas, Xinhua reported.

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari while holding talks here Sunday with his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas, said the joint commission will be formally set up soon.

President Zardari also offered a grant of one million dollars for constructing Palestinian embassy in Islamabad, said a presidential spokesperson of Pakistan.

The two rounds of talks were held covering a wide range of issues from the status of the ongoing struggle of Palestinians for statehood to bilateral issues and from the situation in the Middle East to the stalled peace process.
