Beijing, June 30 — China is willing to make joint efforts with other countries to promote development and prosperity of the world, the country's premier Li Keqiang said during a meet with visiting former US secretary of state Henry Kissinger.

As the two leaders met here Friday, the Chinese premier said the world was undergoing complex and profound changes.

Economic globalisation, regional integration, and the liberalisation and facilitation of trade and investment were a general trend, which was a powerful driving force to address global financial problems and achieve an economic recovery, reported Xinhua Saturday citing Li.

Kissinger, who was in Beijing for the 3rd Global Think Tank Summit, noted the significance of China's growth for the world, adding that he would continue to play an active role in Global Think Tank Summit meetings.

He said that in 1965, the Joint Chiefs assured President Lyndon B. Johnson that the war could be won, but it would take at least 500,000 to one million troops. Ted Cruz Headlines Iowa GOP Ronald Reagan Commemorative Dinner
Seven years ago, when I told my mom I wanted to make a film to help end America's War on Drugs, she asked me, with a look of some concern, whether I was ever going to make a feel good film. Don't get me wrong. My mother's no coward in the face of life's challenges, but she'd watched me spend the previous decade taking on other seemingly unwinnable fights -- examining whether Henry ...
