'UAE is dedicated to women empowerment'

Washington, June 30 (IANS/WAM) A visiting all-women delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) here has said their country is committed strongly towards gender equality and women empowerment on national and international levels.

Washington, June 30 (IANS/WAM) A visiting all-women delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) here has said their country is committed strongly towards gender equality and women empowerment on national and international levels.

Chaired by Amal Al Qubaisi, first deputy speaker of the Federal National Council, is currently visiting Washington DC and New York to promoting the UAE's efforts in empowerment of women.

She expressed her pride in the notable increase in the number of nations that admit to the responsibility each country holds towards stopping violence against women, protecting them, and providing swift an efficient assistance, and more importantly, pursuing those who cause them harm.

She reiterated that the UAE is committed strongly towards gender equality and women empowerment on both national and international levels.
