Who says Obama's not transparent?

Sep 29 2014 6:25pm CDT | Source: WND

Random thoughts on the passing scene: What a non-judgmental society amounts to is that common decency is optional – which means that decency is likely to become less common. The biggest issue in this fall’s election is whether the Obama administration will end when Barack Obama leaves the White House or whether it will continue on, by appointing federal judges with lifetime appointments who share President Obama’s contempt for the Constitution. Whe ...

Barack Obama, agitator in chief

Sep 29 2014 6:15pm CDT | Source: WND

In his U.N. address, President Obama listed a parade of horrors afflicting our world: “Russian aggression in Europe,” “terrorism in Syria and Iraq,” rapes and beheadings by ISIS, al-Qaida, Boko Haram. And, of course, the Ferguson Police Department. That’s right. The president could not speak of war, terrorism and genocide without dragging in the incident in a St. Louis suburb where a white cop shot and killed a black teenager: “In a summer marked by instability in the Middle E ...

Hume: Chickens Coming Home to Roost from US Foreign, Military Policy

Sep 29 2014 6:11pm CDT | Source: Big Government

On Monday’s “Special Report,” Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume pointed to recent events involving the United States’ efforts on the war on terror as proof that President Barack Obama’s policies haven’t proved to work as well as the administration may had previously hoped. Hume noted Obama’s remarks tying blame to the U.S. intelligence community, but said ultimately it was those broader policies that deserve the blame. “An American Muslim convert with a Facebook page that could have ...

California Takes Overdue Stand Against 'Failed Drug Laws'

Sep 29 2014 5:21pm CDT | Source: Politics - The Huffington Post

California lawmakers finally reformed a drug sentencing law that critics throughout the country long denounced as racist. The California Fair Sentencing Act, signed by Gov. Jerry Brown (D) late on Sunday evening, ensures that people who are convicted of certain offenses involving crack cocaine will no longer receive harsher punishments than people found guilty of the same crimes involving the powder form of the drug. Crack and powder cocaine are virtu ...

OBAMA

Sep 29 2014 4:30pm CDT | Source: Politics - The Huffington Post

Reading Matt Bai's recent article about Gary Hart in the New York Times Magazine (Sunday, September 21, 2014) brought to mind how the rash, naughty-boy action of a mindless moment could alter the course of history. Back in April, 1987, Hart had a commanding, quite possibly insuperable lead in that year's presidential race. An otherwise thoughtful man of steady purpose and subtle, complex ideas, he had the makings of an excellent p ...

NEW YORK -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Monday that the U.S. should not withdraw its troops from Afghanistan as quickly as it did from Iraq, where extremist group Islamic State, or ISIS, has since gained territory. “We requested to America, regarding the defense withdrawal subject -- please do not repeat the mistake that you did in Iraq,” Modi said during a discussion at the think tank the Council on Foreign Relations. “Because after withdrawal ...
