Undercover British police having secret sex?

London, Oct 25 (IANS) Britain's senior most police officer has said he is unsure if undercover officers are still not getting involved in sexual relationships with partners unfamiliar with their real identities.

London, Oct 25 — Britain's senior most police officer has said he is unsure if undercover officers are still not getting involved in sexual relationships with partners unfamiliar with their real identities.

Eleven women are taking legal action against the Metropolitan Police over claims that they were duped into relationships in the past with undercover officers and suffered emotional trauma after discovering the deception, The Guardian reported.

On Thursday, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, the commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, said his force had guidelines that said police spies should not get involved in sexual relationships but that the rules could not prevent "human beings sometimes failing".

Under questioning from a London Assembly police and crime committee member, he said he could not be sure if officers had not continued to get involved in intimate relationships during his two years as commissioner.

"Our policy says it shouldn't, but can I be absolutely confident that it's never happened during my time as commissioner? I can't say that.

"What I can tell you is that we've got things in place via supervision and monitoring to make our best attempt to make it clear to our officers that it shouldn't, and if it does, to tell us.

"I'm confident of that, but I cannot be absolutely sure that there has not been the odd digression, or that there won't be in the future. But I do know that there's less chance of it now than there was 20 years ago."

Police chiefs and ministers have given contradictory answers about whether undercover officers were authorised to form sexual relationships with people they had been sent to spy on.

The Guardian has published evidence hinting that undercover officers routinely started sexual relationships with political campaigners during an infiltration campaign that began in 1968.

Oct 31 2014 6:51pm CDT | Source: WND

(Frontpage) — The UK’s Guardian reported Wednesday that “sexual exploitation of vulnerable children has become the social norm in some parts of Greater Manchester,” and the denial and obfuscation about what is really causing this problem is thicker than ever. In the very same sentence in which it broke this terrible news, the Guardian stated that this phenomenon is “fuelled by explicit music videos and quasi-pornographic selfies, an MP has warned.” The MP in question ...

WATCH: Environment Secretary Gets Skewered on Global Warming

Oct 27 2014 12:32pm CDT | Source: Big Government

The secretary for the environment Liz Truss was taken apart by Andrew Neil on yesterdays’ Sunday Politics over climate change policy, having to fall back on the stock answer "we know warming is taking place" five times during the course of the interview. During another exchange, when questioned on the role of gas in the energy mix considering the government’s target to cut emissions by 80 percent by 2050, she lamely countered "gas is going to run out anyway", apparently ob ...

Home Secretary Claims Too Many Ethnic Minorities Get Tasered

Theresa May has now ordered a review after it was revealed half of those who the police have used it on are non-white. She wants to see full records taken of everyone who is tasered so that policy-makers can assess if any particular group is being unfairly targeted. A Home Office spokesman told the Guardian: "Just as with stop and search, we need to bring proper a ...
