Cannapages Publishes World's First Phone Book of Legal & Regulated Cannabis Shops in Colorado

Jan 21 2014, 4:06am CST | by

Cannapages, Colorado's oldest cannabis directory, has released the definitive phone book for the new recreational market, with a list of all current and future stores for 21+ clientele. A recognized staple in the local community, this is the first independent publication for the Denver-based company after years of monthly sections in multiple magazines. The directory also features contributors Ry Prichard, formerly of Kind Reviews, and Herbal Synergy Labs (annual High Times Cannabis Cup).

Denver, CO, January 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The world’s first telephone book for recreational marijuana, the Cannapages Directory, is now available in Denver and Boulder, with listings for the entire local Cannabis industry, including shops currently open to 21+ customers. The historical publication was issued to help the new clientele base find retailers in the new era of recreational cannabis.

Amendment 64--passed in 2012 to legalize and tax marijuana--followed several years of heavily-regulated, medical-dispensary model in the state. Cannapages features both types of businesses, with color-coding for current and future recreational stores, and contact info. The free publication also covers new recreational law basics, and coupons.

“With the advent of regulated recreational cannabis, we couldn’t ignore the need for a user guide in a new marketplace,” said Senior Editor Rhett Thompson. “Essentially, this takes the confusion out of the process for the pioneers.”

The publication also takes a look at some of Colorado’s finest local “selections,” with reviews written by the company’s official CannaCritics. Contributors include veteran photographer Ry Prichard (formerly of Kind Reviews) and Herbal Synergy (testing Lab for annual High Times Cup).

Cannapages is one of the oldest, and most recognized, cannabis companies in Colorado. The branded directory has been printed in a handful of different magazines distributed throughout Colorado, Washington and Arizona since launching in 2010. Their new mobile website will soon feature recreational stores and their daily specials.

The limited edition printing can also be ordered through cannapages.com, with questions or media copies available thru email to editors@cannapages.com.

Monkey Cage: Six Degrees of al-Qaeda?

Sep 12 2014 11:07am CDT | Source: Post Politics: - The Washington Post

Before the president’s ISIL speech this week I noted that the Obama administration was reportedly considering two legal rationales for the military actions announced Wednesday night, so as not to have to seek a new legislative authorization.  One used the provisions of the War Powers Resolution, and another used the 2002 resolution authorizing the use of force in Iraq. I argued that neither held up very well, especially when considering expansion of the battlefield into ...

Monkey Cage: Are Republicans really driving congressional polarization? Maybe not.

Sep 11 2014 6:22pm CDT | Source: Post Politics: - The Washington Post

The notion of “asymmetric polarization” is commonplace in political discourse today. In particular, some commentators, such as Thomas Mann and Norm Ornstein, have argued that Republicans have moved farther right than Democrats have moved left. Mann has cited as “the strongest evidence for this asymmetry among members of Congress” the DW-Nominate scores of Nolan McCarty, Keith Poole, and Howard Rosenthal. The figure ...
