Louisiana Senate Election Heads To December Runoff

Nov 4 2014 9:00pm CST | Source: Politics - The Huffington Post

NEW ORLEANS -- Louisiana's fiercely fought Senate race is headed to a runoff after neither incumbent Democrat Mary Landrieu nor Republican challenger Rep. Bill Cassidy won a majority on Election Day, ABC and NBC News are projecting. Early results showed that tea party Republican candidate Rob Maness seemed to have shaved off enough votes from Landrieu and Cassidy to force the race into a runoff. Under the state's unusual ...

Thank you, Lord Monckton! ["For Sheriff Joe, the clock is ticking"] Thank you for having the guts to tell us, the American people, the truth concerning this lying, evil fraud that has been forced upon our nation and our people. Oct 28 2014 4:07pm CDT | Source: Politics - The Huffington Post

They say before you have cancer, you have lots of problems; and after you have cancer, you have just one. This year's election is just like that. Before Ebola, we had minimum wage, immigration, student loans, social security, and equal pay. Now we just have Ebola. And if we don't act fast, it's going to cost Democrats the Senate. But it doesn't have to. In fact, Ebola may be the best thing that ever happened to the Democrats. If only they would realize it, before it's ...

While the idea may be errantly attributed to the Chinese--some anecdotal support notwithstanding--it is not errant to see both ourselves and the Chinese enmeshed in interesting times. For the better as well as for the worse. Consider America's Ebola scare. The worst, arguably, has been the m ...
